You must remedy this

Why does he need that many lightbars? Is he competing with the sun in terms of brightness?

It’s likely that just having been parked next to me I doubled is exposure to scratches, dents and dirt

BFG Baja’s on a truck that never sees dirt? Ouch. Those things are like $600 each and wear out fast .

Yeah, I’ve had my Jeep for two weeks now and the thing is filthy, but 99% of the ones I see have probably never left the pavement. I’ll never understand why people spend so much money putting fancy stuff on these things. The whole appeal of them for me is that it’s really the only bare bones offroad vehicle you can buy anymore. I think the only thing I’ll add to mine is a roof rack for car-camping trips and tires. I did mount a shovel to the fender using some QuickFists.

Too many lightbars = maximum bro coolness

I know exactly where you’re coming from! I have Fist-mounted-shovels on both of my unibody Jeeps, and now I’m trying to think of the smartest way to mount one on my new JK... but smart things are hard :( Also, my JK is filthy and I like it better that way. Clean Jeeps are weird.

It’s a beach ball made of bolts!

Let’s face it. If you are going to be proper stupid then do it properly stupid. This qualifies on my score sheet.

Noice. I assume that’s a short-handle spade? And did you drill into the fender or use some sooper-dooper epoxy?

Yeah, it’s a super cheap shirt handled spade from Harbor Freight. I drilled through the fender and put a small metal plate on the underside of the fender. It took about ten minuted to install as those fenders are made of the finest of Swiss cheese plastic. That truck has been down for the summer, but she’ll be up once it cools off. ‘66 GMC longbed, lowered, with a suped up 350 in her. I burned out the tranny, but have a rebuilt one along with a fresh 350 in my backyard waiting for install.

Nice! I kinda want to mount it to the top (it’s a tradition), but I don’t want to drill holes because that just sounds like a leak begging to happen. I might just wait until I can justify buying fancy bumpers and mount it there.

As for the old GMC... awesome. So glad you’re keeping it alive. I’ve looked for an old 305 V6 powered GMC on-and-off over the past 15 years, but people generally know what they’re worth and ask a lot for them. Still holding out hope that there’s one in a barn with a generous owner around here!

Mine originally had the 305 V6, but one of the previous owners swapped it out for the 350. It still has the engine placard for it inside the cab.
